It'll be Irie! The Musical!
On Sunday, April 14, 2024, “It’ll be Irie: The Musical!” had its first table read at New Musicals Inc in North Hollywood, California. I was blessed to have a very talented cast of actors bring the characters to life: Jozanne Marie, Mark Anthony Williams, Sardia Robinson and Gilbert Glenn Brown. I was also fortunate to have many close friends and esteemed colleagues in the literary world attend.

It was such a gift to hear people laughing at dialogue and singing along to several of the songs. One friend told me she was moved to tears by one of the ballads!

Afterwards, I received much insightful feedback that has already inspired the next round of revisions. I look forward to eventually having a workshop production.
Meet Sarah Brett England! She is a Music Director, Educator, and Arranger whom I've hired to transcribe piano and vocal sheet music for the 12 songs in the musical! She is a highly skilled professional doing an amazing job transcribing my music while also being personable and very easy to work with. I'm blessed to have found her!
